The LSU Tigers entered the SEC Tournament with questions surrounding their bullpen, and after another subpar performance on Friday night against the Texas A&M Aggies, it once again crushed them down the stretch.

Starting pitcher Ty Floyd put together another exceptional performance for the Tigers, but after he left the mound, it was all Aggies. Floyd ended the day with 5.0 innings pitched with seven strikeouts, only allowing 3 hits and one run in the afternoon.

Texas A&M strung together a monster seventh inning after infielder Hunter Haas laced a three-run homer to left field, putting the Aggies up 5-3 and never looking back. Haas’ homer came off of Sam Dutton, who struggled once again out of the Tigers’ bullpen.

Offensively for the Tigers, it was Brayden Jobert and Hayden Travinski who led the way for this program, but inconsistency down the stretch from this unit halted any chances of rallying to retake the lead.

The Tigers now await their fate in the NCAA Tournament with the selection show set for Monday afternoon.
